Same Sex Ceremonies

Love Is Love. Always. To borrow from the powerful words of Justice Kennedy: “No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family… It offers the hope of companionship and understanding and assurance that while both still live there will be someone to care for the other.”

These words ring true for all couples—regardless of gender or orientation. And while the journey toward full equality is still ongoing, we’re proud to live in a time when marriage is a legal right for all who love.

At Long Island Wedding Officiants, we’re honored to celebrate and officiate weddings for same-sex and LGBTQ+ couples with the same joy, care, and reverence we bring to every ceremony. Whether you prefer to be called spouses, husbands, wives, or partners—these are the words that make your union legal, and we’re here to help you choose the ones that feel most authentic to you.

Below, you’ll find some examples of how our incredible couples have personalized their vows and ceremonies. We hope they inspire you as you begin to envision your own.
